Arrow Electronics Pricing Associate in Geneva, Illinois
The Pricing team is responsible for maintaining accurate price data in our ERP system, to enable fast and efficient quoting to our customers. Our Pricing team works with our Product Management and Asset teams on over 200 suppliers. Our Geneva office is Richardson RFPD’s headquarters and is home to sales, product management, marketing, asset and finance teams. As such this represents a great opportunity for the individual to understand and learn all aspects of the distribution business. High expectations are that product information is current and accurate thus allowing business to be conducted in a seamless manner.
Review, understand, and verify all data is complete on the Price Load form.
Under the guidance of the Pricing Specialist, prepares and performs data entry into ROBINET and PeopleSoft.
Download and create cost/price comparison reports.
Data entry with the ability to create new and manipulate existing Excel spreadsheets and/or Access databases.
Responsible for the maintenance of several Access databases with VBA code used to manipulate data and format files for input to operational systems as well as measurement reports.
Changes to these databases are necessary due to operational system upgrades, business process changes and Access software upgrades.
Design, Code and Test and Documentation tasks are required.
Provide adhoc reports for pricing analysis and complete data content.
Entry level often for those with work experience in the skill area
Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions
Experience / Education:
Typically requires a 2 year degree and 2–4 years of experience or High school graduate with equivalent related experience. VBA coding experience a plus. Advanced knowledge of MS Access, Excel, MS Office Suite, excellent communications and analytical skills.
