The Bank at Work Sales Manager for Mortgages is focus on making niche Mortgage product (i.e. Physician Home Loans, Jumbo Mortgage Loans, etc.)Referrals to US Mortgage partners and Premier partners, building an external/new-to-BMO customer base. Bank at Work for Mortgage (BAWM) plays a key role in representing BMO to our business clients and prospects as well as training and engaging the retail staff within the region. The incumbent pro-actively creates new external relationships to refer a large pipeline of mortgage customers. The incumbent partners with BMO Mortgage Bankers and the Retail branch teams to make referrals and ensure proper customer hand-off in order to secure mortgage business as well as to refer customers for non-mortgage needs.
Establishing strong working relationships within BMO will be critical to success. Individual will need to join Premier Bankers and Mortgage Bankers on joint sales calls and team meetings and will be expected to identify appropriate opportunities to include other BMOH line of businesses (LOBs) (i.e. Wealth Management, Premier, and ATM). Individual will also serve as coach and subject matter expert on BAW to the retail staff, training and assisting them with BAW program questions. Individual will also be expected to identify, refine and share suggestions to improve BAW sales calls, events, seminars, supporting materials and tools.
Effectively represent BMOH Retail during BAW / GBS sales calls and events
Establish a strong partnership with Business Banking and Commercial Banking relationship managers and management team covering respective region
Train and engage region’s branch personnel on BAW / GBS programs and financial literacy seminars
Manage BAW / GBS programs within region to insure client opportunities are maximized across BMOH LOB’s
Effectively conduct financial literacy seminars to help educate client employees while deepening relationship with client
Recommend enhancements to program design based on segment needs and/or program effectiveness, help establish best practices
Generate Appointments and New Bank at Work opportunities
Program adoption (shared with BAW / GBS program management)
Prospect targeting and optimization ((shared with BAW / GBS program management and BB and CB management)
Program execution (shared with all key partners)
Reporting results to Retail, BB and CB management (shared with BAW / GBS program management)
Joint sales calling with line of business partners
- Meets all CFPB and Safe Act requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
In depth knowledge of retail products and retail branch network
Strong presentation skills and time management
Proven business development success
Strong lateral thinker – able to converse with partners across BMOH business lines, P&C HQ, retail branch management and customers and prospects
Experience with Branch Management and frequent interaction with BB and CB teams a plus;

Act) and the Bank will instruct you on how to comply with the requirement to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry. The role requires successful completion of SAFE Act and NMLS standards.
